Theodicy always raises unanswerable questions to me. To live is to suffer, it’s embedded in the very process. And yet, we say God/the divine created life and is present in all things. What does that say about the nature of God? Maybe our difficulty comes from conflating suffering with evil? Suffering is just a state of being. It’s not a state anyone wants to be in, naturally, but is the suffering itself evil, or is the evil in the intentional causing of it? I don’t know. maybe I sound like a Buddhist. I don’t know enough about Buddhism.
